The S-5 PVKIT 2.0 is an updated version of the PVKIT, now featuring a Black Anodized Top Grab. It’s important to note that only the grab itself is black, while all other components of the kit, including the stud, bolt, and base plate, have a mill finish.
The S-5! PVKIT 2.0 EdgeGrab is specifically designed for use at all perimeter locations. It provides secure mounting for solar panels along the edges of the roof.
To simplify the process of module placement, the PVKIT 2.0 includes a Module Placement Bevel Guide. The mounting disk of the kit is multi-directional, eliminating the need for rails. The PV grab ears of the kit have been made broader to facilitate easier installation and ensure a secure engagement with the solar modules.
For connecting panels together, the S-5! PVKIT 2.0 MidGrab is recommended. It serves as an intermediate grab and facilitates secure connections between adjacent solar panels.
The PVKIT is compatible with a wide range of module thicknesses. When used in combination with S-5! mini clamps, it can be installed on standing seam metal roof profiles of any material. Additionally, when paired with S-5! brackets, the PVKIT 2.0 can be used on trapezoidal ribbed and corrugated metal roofs as well. If desired, the PVKIT can also be used with regular S-5 clamps.
Overall, the S-5 PVKIT 2.0 provides versatility in terms of compatibility with various roof profiles and module thicknesses, while offering improved ease of installation and secure panel engagement.
