About this product

What it is, and what it is for

A DC combiner box for the run between a solar array and a single-MPPT inverter or charge controller, with the three protections that run wants in one IP65 enclosure: a DC fuse, a Type 2 surge protector and a two-pole DC breaker for isolation.

  • Maximum input 500 V DC, one PV string in and one output out — for inverters and controllers with a single MPPT whose string voltage stays under 500 V
  • 32 A two-pole DC circuit breaker (MCB) — isolation and overcurrent protection on the output
  • 10×38 gPV fuse, 32 A, 1000 V DC, in a fuse holder
  • Type 2 DC surge protective device (SPD), 500 V DC, with a PE (earth) terminal — must be bonded to ground
  • PC engineering-plastic body, IP65 rated; MC4 connectors for input and output on the underside, plus a glanded earth lead

Disconnect all power sources before installation. This listing is for reference only: string sizing, wiring and grounding must be done by a licensed electrician to the NEC and your local code.

Common questions

Before you order.

If yours isn't here, ask an engineer. It costs nothing and it's the step most people skip.

What if I'm not sure this is the right product?

Ask before you order. Send us what you need to run, or your pool or well figures, and an engineer will confirm the choice — it costs nothing. Or use the finder below, which sizes from what you actually run and shows its reasoning.
